Sly Cooper comparison pics show a smooth transition to HD & 3D generation gaming

In case you missed it at E3, all three of the Sly Cooper games from PlayStation 2 are being remastered in high definition (and in the case of the third game, 3D), and as you can see we’ve got a few comparison pictures from the Playstation Blog. Since original developer Sucker Punch has moved on to other thing like inFAMOUS, the conversion is being handled by Sanzaru Games (with some help from the original high res texture maps and art assets), and from the looks of things the transition to higher res and widescreen is going well. Head over to the blog for a better look or check out Joystiq for their hands on — everyone else has to wait for the updated games to be released in November.

Guides to Choose the Best Gaming Notebook Computers

is in purchasing the one that are optimised for playing games. This might sound very obvious but you have no idea how many people purchase a notebook intending to use it for game related reasons then decide later that they need to upgrade it. At the end pf the day it will be very expensive but when you use our knowledge, you may save good money. On this article we shall guide you briefly how to choose the best gaming notebook so that you can enjoy your Games.

Best Gaming Laptop Features

I use a computer for more than 10 hours per day to perform different tasks and for that matter I know what you pass through especially when you are a gamer……Games are graphics intense applications. So you need something to do the job correctly. But since we are dealing with laptops, you must keep in mind that the faster the laptop the!

For you to enjoy your gaming you must put the following under consideration.

• The RAM: the rule of thumb in laptop gaming circle is: the more RAM you have, the better. I would venture say that 256 KB is the absolute minimum you should settle for. Any ram less than that will not perform better.

• Laptop video card. Without the perfect one, your gaming option will not be to optimum .If you are serious gamer, you should not settle for the cheap video cards that come standard with most laptops. By the way cheap things are always expensive because you will end up buying another or upgrading which comes costly.

• Huge hard drive storage. Games are heavy and needs a lot of space .So, you need a more than decent hard drive to store those games. One pointer here: the faster the hard drive, the more improved the whole gaming experience is. I would say that if you can get a 7200 RPM hard drive, buy it without asking because this is the best for gamers.

• A large visual area.

Don’t be adventurous like me who wanted to explore these small laptops with gaming… I once wanted to be “Mr Superman” and used a 10? monitor laptop to play a game on. It sucks… Then I tried out a 17? Powerbook and was in heaven. But, a 17? screen notebook computer can be a pain to move with around. So, to compromise, do check out the standard 15? notebooks.

Anything good to gaming must come at a cost, but if you want to enjoy your games on the laptop you must pay for those cost… and where do you expect to get anything good without a price?

We’d been hearing that NVIDIA’s Fermi chips had been delayed, but they’re apparently far enough along for spokesperson Brian Burke to tweet this image of the new Fermi-based GeForce 100 GPU running the Unigine Heaven DX11 benchmark earlier today. That’s certainly one way to hit back at ATI’s launch of the fastest graphics card ever, the Radeon HD 5970, but we’d much rather have some hard info to work with. We’ve pinged NVIDIA, we’ll let you know if we hear anything.

Although we were too late to verify for ourselves, both Joystiq and Scrawl swear up and down that the above three images, each of whom unfortunately lack a higher-res version, all hail from the official Sony Computer Entertainment Europe website, and each showing a feature of the PlayStation 3’s XMB we haven’t seen before: some form of Facebook integration, the ability to change gamercard colors, and a new method of photo organization / perusal. None of these would be too surprising or earth-shattering, really, and the juiciest question of them all — exactly when we might see these additions — is still a mystery. Just in case the pics come back up, their respective URLs are just below.

Too broke to pay Tony Hawk’s royalties on a Wii skateboard / snowboard? Yeah, we feel you, and evidently Thrustmaster does too. Said peripheral outfit has just introduced its newest Wii accessory, the T-Freestyle NW. Designed with work with any skate or snowboard game that lands on Nintendo’s money-maker, the board is crafted from genuine maple and sports a totally stereotypical “skull” design on the top. There’s also a safety stopper to prevent any sort of toppling disaster, and best of all, this thing will be available at the end of the month for just $29.99. Gnarly, dude.

It’s not quite a $99 Xbox 360, but if this apparent Walmart scan via Kotaku is to be believed, that $199 Arcade version is getting a $100 gift card promotion going into effect this Saturday. In real terms, that boils down to a $234 Xbox 360 Pro for first-time buyers, seeing as you’ll be needing that $135, 120GB hard drive, too. Also listed are a Sony Blu-ray player for $148 (we’re guessing the currently-MSRP’d $199 BDP-S360), and a $298 HP G60-519WM, which touts a 2.2GHz Intel Celeron, 15.6-inch HD display, Windows 7 Home Premium, 3GB RAM, and a 250GB HDD — not a bad followup at all for that Compaq CQ60. Some interesting spy shots from the Slick Deals forum seem to give credence to the scan, although we’re still playing wait-and-see — that $100 gift card with the Xbox 360 arcade is almost too good to be true, even if it is just a clever tactic to clear shelf space in the lead-up to Black Friday.

Update: Sure as the sun, an official ad has popped up on Yahoo’s front page. Screenshot after the break.
